The first Pizza Brixton opened doors in February 2017. Created by Cosimo, Zak and Anis, all experienced restauranteurs each with over 20 years in the industry. They first met on Brixton Hill and almost jokingly decided to open a restaurant together and call it Pizza Brixton.
The concept for Pizza Brixton was inspired by Zak and Anis’s love for good Italian food and craving true Neapolitan pizza "verace". Cosimo brought the skill, passion and knowledge which can be seen in the menu he created, the ingredients he handpicked and the specially imported Italian wines and coffee from Cosimo’s home region of Salento, Puglia. The goal was to create a place serving authentic Italian cuisine for a creative, atmospheric dining experience.
The first Pizza Brixton became instantly and unexpectedly popular in Brixton which led to the idea of opening a second restaurant. Situated between Clapham Junction and Wandsworth on St. John’s hill where they opened doors in June 2018 with the same name Pizza Brixton (feeling that the name brought them luck the first time). A year later in August 2019 they opened their third and most adventurous restaurant (being their first shop north of the river) located on Roman Road, Bow.
